pay a deposit of R 2000 into a bank account or supply us with your
credit card number. |
TERMS
& CONDITIONS
The following is a summary of the Rental Conditions. Please note that
all prices are quoted in South African Rand. Rates quoted in our brochures
and / or conditions are subject to change without notice. |
RENTAL
DURATION
Minimum rental is 5 days and 10 days for collection / return in Botswana.
When calculating the number of days, the day of collection is counted
as day one of the rental regardless of collection time. The day of
return is counted as the final day. |
DEPOT
HOURS FOR PICK-UP & DROP-OFF
We have branches in Windhoek, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth,
Durban, Harare and Victoria Falls. Monday to Friday from 8.00am to
4.30pm. Weekends and public holidays by arrangement only. |
TRANSFER
Airport and local hotel transfers for all branches = R100 one way

INSURANCE OPTIONS
We offer 4 very competitive insurance options for peace of mind during
your holiday: |
No Cover
If the No Cover option is taken the hirer is liable for the first
R 30 000 damage to either our vehicle or third party vehicle / property.
The hirer will also be fully liable for replacement or repair of
windscreen and / or radio. The excess of R 30 000 can be paid by
cash, traveler's cheques or credit card (a manual imprint of the
credit card will be taken). This is fully refundable on return of
the vehicle to the agreed location, on the agreed date, with no
damage incurred to our vehicle or third party vehicle / property.
Hirer is responsible for all tyre damage.
To reduce this excess we offer the following options:

Standard Cover
Standard Cover at R95 per day for all vehicles will reduce this excess
for any damage to either our vehicle or third party vehicle / property
to R15 000. The excess of R15 000 can be paid by cash, traveler's
cheques or credit card (a manual imprint of the credit card will be
taken). This is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed
location, on the agreed date, with no damage incurred to the our vehicle
or third party vehicle / property.
Note: hirer is responsible for all tyre damage |
Super Cover
Super Cover at R125 per day for all vehicles will reduce this excess
for any damage to either our vehicle or third party vehicle / property
to R5 000. The option of Super Cover will also waive the excess for
replacement or repair of windscreen and / or radio.
Note: hirer is responsible for all tyre damage |
Exclusive Cover
Exclusive Cover at R200 per day for all vehicles will reduce the excess
for any damage to either our vehicle or third party vehicle / property
to Zero. The option of Exclusive Cover will also waive the
excess for replacement or repair of windscreen and / or radio as well
as covering all tyre damages. |

EXCLUSIONS
The hirer will be fully liable for any damage to our vehicle or third
party vehicle / property if:
- The
terms of the rental contract are breached.

Damage to the vehicle is caused by careless, willful or reckless
driving.
- Driving
under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Driving
on restricted roads.
- Water
submersion or salt-water damage is caused. In case of any damage
to our vehicle or third party vehicle / property a second excess
will be collected to cover the excess for any subsequent damage.

SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENTS
-
If the rental vehicle is involved in an accident and is not driveable,
a replacement vehicle, if available, may be collected from the
closest branch.
- If
the hirer requires a replacement vehicle to be delivered, then
these charges will be for the hirer's account.
- The
hirer is responsible for the recovery of the damaged vehicle to
the original rental depot.
- If
the hirer is unable or unwilling to take a replacement vehicle,
no refunds for early termination of the contract will apply.
- No
refund of rental days lost will be considered during the period
in which a replacement vehicle is being organised.

Should the hirer continue with a replacement vehicle then a new
rental contract and insurance conditions will apply. We reserve
the right to apply the above conditions as they deem fit.

INFRINGEMENTS
We reserve the right to charge the hirer for any speeding or parking
fines, associated administration costs and / or accidents including
third party vehicle / property damage not reported on the return of
the vehicle. |
EXCHANGE RATE / CURRENCY VARIATIONS
All credit card transactions are conducted in South African Rand.
Due to exchange rate fluctuations there could be some variance in
the amount refunded compared to the amount initially charged. We accept
no liability for any variances up or down. |
CREDIT CARDS
If a credit card is presented as payment, the credit card holder will
be jointly and severally liable as a customer. |
LICENCE
A valid non-endorsed driver's licence is required - international
licence is preferred. |
MINIMUM AGE
Drivers must be 21 years or older. |
MULTIPLE RENTALS
Multiple rentals can be combined to qualify the hirer for our long-term
rate. Motorhome and car rentals in Australia, New Zealand and South
Africa can be combined to qualify if travel is within a 3-month period
e.g. one 14-day rental plus one 7-day rental qualifies for the 21-day
rate. |
ROAD RESTRICTIONS
Vehicles may be taken into South Africa's neighboring states but are
not allowed into Angola, Mozambique or Malawi. All insurance cover
is void if vehicles enter prohibited areas. We reserve the right,
at its sole discretion, to restrict vehicle movements in certain areas
due to adverse road or weather conditions, political situations or
any other reason. |
REPAIRS Repairs
of up to R1 000 may be effected without authorization and will be
reimbursed upon presentation of receipts. When over R1 000 we need
to be contacted for approval. |
CHANGE OF VEHICLE
We reserve the right to substitute a comparable or superior vehicle
should the requested vehicle not be available due to unforeseen circumstances.
This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle
the hirer to any refund. |
CANCELLATION FEES
- If
cancelled 25 days prior to pick-up = No charge

If cancelled 24 days to 6 days prior to pick-up =15% of gross
rate
- If
cancelled 5 days to 0 days (no show) = 50% of gross rate
- If
vehicle is returned early for any reason = no refund

TAXES
14% VAT is included in gross rates. Above prices are subject to change
in accordance with changes in government taxes. |
PETS
No pets are permitted in our vehicles. |
DISCLAIMER
Illustrations and text in any of our brochures are only a representation
of the vehicle depicted. Variances in the vehicle(s) offered for rental
could occur due to modifications and / or upgrades to the vehicle
design. |
4WD RECOVERY KIT
This is available for all 4WD rentals upon request. The 4WD recovery
kit includes equipment such as heavy-duty towropes, tyre repair, radiator
repair, torch, safety triangle, spanners, screwdrivers, etc. and is
charged at R500 per rental. |
VEHICLE DESCRIPTIONS:
Voyager
4WD
This rugged 4WD vehicle is constructed on the reliable and powerful
2.7 L 5-speed Toyota Hilux double cab chassis. The Voyager carries
4 adults in luxurious comfort with air-conditioning, power steering
and radio / cassette as standard. A metal canopy is fitted, which
provides additional storage space for any luggage taken on holiday.

Adventurer 4WD
The Adventurer is based on a single cab 2.7 L Toyota Hilux chassis.
This vehicle has a full compliment of camping equipment. Standard
equipment includes a 12v compressor driven fridge, fitted double bed,
cooking utensils, gas burner, gas bottles, cutlery, crockery, outdoor
table and camping chairs. The Adventurer also has a 150 litre long-range
fuel tank and a built-in 40 litre water tank. Air-conditioning, radio
/ cassette and power steering are standard in the cab. |
Safari 4WD
This 2.7 L Toyota Hilux double cab is built for tough off-road driving,
yet retains a high level of comfort and practicality. There is ample
space for four adults. The load-box has been specially designed to
accommodate luggage and an extensive list of camping equipment. A
long-range 150-litre fuel tank is fitted to allow for extensive African
off-road driving. A 40 litre water tank is fitted in the rear of the
load-box. Two roof-top tents, each sleeping 2 adults, are mounted
on a roof rack. These provide great comfort and simply concertina
open within minutes. |
Nomad 4WD
An exciting new addition to our 4WD range is the Land Rover Td 5.
This 2.5 L diesel vehicle carries 4 adults in spacious comfort. The
powerful Land Rover, an African stalwart, is a real favourite with
4-wheel-drive enthusiasts. The Nomad 4WD has been converted into a
complete off-road camper. We have added 2 spare wheels, full camping
and living equipment inclusive of two roof-top tents, 12v compressor
driven freezer, long-range 150 litre fuel tank, 40 litre water tank
and all linen and cooking equipment. |
Bushcamper 4WD
Top of the range is a 4,2 L Bushcamper, based on a Toyota Land Cruiser,
the ultimate go-anywhere-do-anything vehicle. This converted vehicle
sleeps two comfortably in a built-in double bed. Superbly equipped
to make off-road driving a comfortable experience, the Bushcamper
stands supreme as one of the strongest, powerful 4-wheel-drive vehicles
available in southern Africa. Standard features include a 12v compressor
driven freezer, long-range diesel tank, built-in water tank and all
linen and cooking equipment. |
